What is FCC Ministry Central?
FCC Ministry Central is the leadership network and strategic forum for FCC serve teams and ministry groups. The purpose of this blog/network/forum is to organize resources, share ideas, and build a strong collaborative culture with our ministry teams. The BuddyPress platform which this network is built upon, was created to bring people together who have similar interests to connect and communicate. It works well to enable people with a unique niche to connect and communicate. In our case, the unique niche is the cause of Christ and the mission of His Church. This network can be used as a good online communication tool for our leadership teams.
What this network is NOT:
- A place to spark controversial debate about theological, social, or cultural issues. These tough conversations are healthier in person.
- A place to complain, point out other team members’ weaknesses, or vent your frustrations. This is a constructive place of collaboration.
- Another general social network. We have plenty of those available already. This is more strategic.
What this network IS:
- A place for FCCers to discover serve opportunities and join ministry teams.
- A place for ministry leaders to organize teams, schedules, calendars, and volunteer rosters.
- A place to share ideas, resources, article links, and encouraging words to other team members.
- A place for constructive brainstorming.
- A place for people who do life and mission together, to discuss community, events, gatherings, and ministry opportunities.
- A place to upload documents,
- A place to post interesting reads from the web that will be informative and useful to other team members.
- A place where members can upload documents/forms/applications/curriculum relative to their specific ministry team, or group.
- A place to exchange creative ideas for upcoming series, small groups, outreach ideas, youth/children ministry, etc.
- A place to share some good stories (short testimonies) that are happening with your ministry team, or group.
- A healthy and safe place for leaders to ask for feedback from their teams.
- A place to grow together in community, mission, and Christ-centeredness.
What to do next? Join a group or multiple groups. Groups are ministry groups or “serve teams”. In each group, you will be able to discover what’s happening on these ministry teams, find out how to plug in and volunteer, share in the discussion, get necessary team member documents, post links, give feedback, and much more. After you have requested to join a group, the group admin will have to accept your request, unless it is a public group.
