To all who have sponsored a prisoners’ child for Christmas this year, thank you! Collectively, our church has adopted nearly 30 children of inmates who will be receiving gifts this Christmas!!!
We also have a number of gift packages going to incarcerated children in the Hamilton and Bradley County juvenile systems. This Wednesday is our Christmas party for low-income kids at Rainbow Creek apartments, and on December 20, we will be distributing bicycles that have been donated for our kids’ outreach at the AOS mobile home park. Loyalty is a forgotten virtue in our world today. If loyalty should be found anywhere, it certainly should be found in the Body of Christ. The Church is Christ’s expression in the world today but we can’t look like Jesus if we aren’t loyal like Jesus. The true weight of loyalty can be measured in how a person treats their enemies or traitors. How was David loyal to Saul? How was Jesus loyal to Judas? How a man treats those hostile toward him can often reveal how faithful he will be to those closest to him.

The East Lake kids outreach kicks off this Monday (November 14) as an afterschool club at East Lake Elementary School. If you are interested in volunteering for this club (recreation or tutoring), join the East Lake Outreach group to follow the buzz and get the pertinent details. We will be serving kids grade 3-5.
